That's great, my Mechanical Engineer and I love our Brushless Electric, T-Maxxs’ and REVO.
How2rc’s Mechanical Engineer, (Matt), has designed and tested, a motor mount and battery tray for the Traxxas REVO.

1. You can run the truck as it is with 2speeds, the Mechanical brake and No Reverse.

2. If you want to use the Center Diff, install the "Forward only Conversion (available from Traxxas)" You still use the Mechanical brake and have NO Reverse.

3. For Forward,Brake,Reverse, you will need to do the "Forward only Converson (available from Traxxas)" then the centrifical clutch must be locked, and you can remove First gear and the Brake servo and linkage.

This modification to the transmission makes it possible for the Motor and ESC to do Forward, Brakes, and Reverse, and eliminates the need for a servo, along with the nitro motor and gas tank. When I say Brakes I mean stop on a dime and give you 9cents change, type of Brakes If that is what you like. Or controllable progressive brakes.

The Transmission modification simply makes the trans into a gear box (direct drive, gear reduction), that makes brakes and reverse with the motor and ESC, possible. (Trans mod instructions)

How2rc’s Electric Conversion Motor Mounts;

Bolt on through existing holes in the chassis, with supplied machine screws.

Any 550 Brushless motor will bolt on directly. Motors with 5mm output shafts are advised, stock pinion gears size is fine with bore to match your motor shaft. 550size motors are typicaly 35mm-36mm in diameter and 65mm-70mm long.

These Motor Mounts allow adjustment for different pinion and spur gear combinations. To adjust performance, speed as you like.

No need, to change gearing, stock ratios work just fine. Get a pinion gear that will fit your motor with the same number of teeth as the one you had on the nitro motor.

Any motor with a kv rating or 3300kv-4000kv will give you amazing performance with a 2S LiPo Battery.Or 2200Kv to 2650Kv with 3S-4S. NiCd and NiMh batteries can NOT provide the Amperage these motors require for the performance you expect.

You will need LiPo batteries 2S. 7.4v, a LiPo battery Charger, a Motor and ESC, just like any other conversion All that is left is a Motor Mount, some cost as much as $150.00
